Brock and Brittany Vale’s Donor Story
Brock and Brittany Vale
The W.J. Henderson Community Centre holds a deeply meaningful place in our lives. It's more than just a building in our community, it’s where so many of our memories began and continue to grow.
For Brittany, much of her childhood was shaped within its walls. Over 18 years, she spent countless hours there figure skating, learning discipline, resilience, and passion. The centre was also where she took swimming lessons and cheered on her brother at his hockey games, making it a constant backdrop to family life and shared experiences.
Today, it continues to be just as important to us. We now spend many hours at the rink as Brock coaches rep hockey, giving back to the community and helping shape the next generation of players. Being there together reminds us of where we started and how those early experiences helped form who we are today.
Looking ahead, we hope the W.J. Henderson Community Centre will become just as special for our children—a place where they can build friendships, develop skills, and create their own lasting memories. It represents continuity, community, and the joy of growing up surrounded by sport, family, and connection.
