In late 2025, Loyalist Township Council approved a naming rights agreement with Latham Pool Products for the Lap Pool at the revitalized W.J. Henderson Community Centre. In recognition of this generous contribution, the facility’s new 8-lane, 25-metre lap pool will be named the Latham Lap Pool.

As part of this agreement, Latham will provide $75,000 over a ten-year period, January 2026 to January 2035. The naming rights for the Latham Lap Pool will remain in effect for the duration of this term. This sponsorship establishes Latham as a Tier 5: Legacy Supporter of the Township’s fundraising campaign.

Henderson Community Centre reflects a shared vision of fostering health, recreation, and community connection for residents of all ages.”

“Latham is pleased to support the W.J. Henderson Community Centre,” said Sanjay Jain, Fiberglass Operations Director, Canada.  “We believe in the power of swimming for improving mental and physical health and look forward to the positive impact the facility will have on the community.”

Since its original opening, nearly 50 years ago, the W.J. Henderson Recreation Centre has served as a place where residents come together to connect, compete, learn, and grow. The revitalized W.J. Henderson Community Centre will feature modern, inclusive, and sustainable design elements to meet the growing needs of Loyalist Township residents. The Latham Lap Pool, is on track to open in the third quarter of 2026, will be part of the Barr Homes Aquatic Centre which will also feature a warm-water leisure pool which will enhance aquatic programming, swim training, competition and recreation opportunities for all ages and abilities.

Loyalist Township extends sincere appreciation to Latham for their generosity and continued partnership in building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
